Cafe Fran & Rafi

Fran and Rafi Café turned out to be such a delightful surprise — a genuine hidden gem tucked away in Oatlands. The moment you walk in, the place just bursts with colour and character. You can tell straight away that everything, from the décor to the display cabinet, has been put together with real care and an eye for beauty. The pastries were fantastic — fresh, flavourful, and clearly crafted by someone who loves their work. The coffee was spot on too, the kind that makes you pause for a second and think, yep, they know what they’re doing here. It’s the kind of café that instantly lifts your mood. There’s warmth in the atmosphere, personality in the details, and a sense of pride in every plate and cup. I’m already planning my next visit because there are so many baked goods left to try, and it genuinely feels like the kind of place that keeps surprising you with each visit. If you’re anywhere near Oatlands, Fran and Rafi Café is absolutely worth discovering.

A couple of customers came back to ask where they were made, and we were so proud to say from the Fran&Rafi Cafe in Oatland I personally like all the cakes you made in the shop, never regret even putting on weight . I'm a huge fan of this cafe – their matcha latte, coffee and croissants are consistently top-notch. Every visit has been a great experience, with no disappointments!

What can I say? This place is a hidden gem. Superb desert and cakes and out-of-this-world atmosphere. Loved the Campos coffee and the fantastic hospitality. Shame it's not near my house. This cafe is definitely a top-notch!

A charming, locally-owned café in Oatlands, run by a Korean proprietor. The café's decor is a testament to their careful thought and heartfelt effort, with vibrant tables and chairs that exude a joyful ambiance. The coffee offered is of excellent quality, and their selection of cakes and pastries is quite diverse. During our visit, we tried the Bolognese meat pie and Corn cheese croissant, both of which were enjoyable, albeit a tad on the pricey side. It's worth mentioning, though, that the café used to have a brunch menu prominently displayed on their Instagram account. However, when we visited recently, we were informed that they no longer serve brunch. It would be greatly appreciated if Fran & Rafi could keep their social platforms updated, ensuring that customers are aware of any changes to their menu offerings.

Very cozy environment! I had a long black and a croissant that was perfectly crisp. It’s a good spot for a casual catch-up and is very kid-friendly.
